OrgOrg CRM for Gmail

OrgOrg CRM for Gmail is a Google Workspace add-on. It shows your team's CRM context beside the email you are reading, and it works everywhere Gmail does, including the Gmail apps on Android and iPhone.

When to use it

On desktop Chrome, the OrgOrg browser extension is the primary experience. The add-on is the fallback: use it on your phone, in a browser without the extension, or when the extension is switched off. When the extension's Gmail panel is active, the extension hides the add-on's icon in the side rail, so you see one OrgOrg, not two.

What the card shows

  • People: who on the thread is in your CRM, with title, company, and custom fields. An Email button opens a pre-addressed compose window.
  • Filed threads: the pipeline, stage, deal amount, last update, and recent activity.
  • Related boxes: other deals for the same people or company.
  • Your tasks: open CRM tasks, with an overdue count.
  • Recent emails: synced correspondence with the same people.

One action works from the card: file an unfiled thread to a pipeline you can edit. Everything else is a deep link into your OrgOrg workspace.

Install for yourself

  1. Open the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for OrgOrg CRM for Gmail.
  2. Click Install, then Continue.
  3. Sign in with the Google account you use for OrgOrg, and allow the requested permissions.
  4. Open any email in Gmail. The OrgOrg icon appears in the right rail on desktop, and under the message in the phone apps.

The add-on needs an OrgOrg account with the CRM app enabled. If your Google account is not connected to an OrgOrg workspace, the card shows a Connect button instead of CRM data. The listing appears in Marketplace search once Google's review completes.

Install for your whole workspace (admin)

A Google Workspace administrator can install the add-on for every user, or for one organizational unit:

  1. Open admin.google.com.
  2. Go to Apps, then Google Workspace Marketplace apps, then Installed apps.
  3. Click Install app, and search for OrgOrg CRM for Gmail.
  4. Choose Admin install, select the domain or an organizational unit, and accept the permissions on behalf of your users.

Users in the selected scope see the add-on in Gmail with no extra setup.

Use it on your phone

  1. Open the Gmail app on Android or iPhone.
  2. Open an email.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the message and tap the OrgOrg icon in the add-on row.
  4. The card opens with the thread's CRM context. Tap any row to open it in OrgOrg.

Permissions, in plain language

The add-on asks for the smallest Gmail surface Google offers for this job:

  • Run as a Gmail add-on, only while you have Gmail open.
  • Read the message you have open, at the moment you open it. The add-on cannot search your mailbox, and it cannot read other messages.
  • Read the draft's recipients when you open the card while writing an email.
  • Open a pre-addressed compose window when you click Email.
  • Know your email address, to find your OrgOrg account.

The add-on stores nothing from your messages. It reads the open message once, renders the card, and discards the data. Message tokens are never saved.

Troubleshooting

  • "Connect your account": your Google account has no OrgOrg user. Click Connect and sign in.
  • "CRM is not enabled": ask an OrgOrg administrator to enable the CRM app for your workspace.
  • A permission prompt: a permission is missing. Allow it, and the card reloads with data.
  • The card feels stale: cards render when you open them. Close and reopen the message to refresh.
